Has an institutional risk expert ever checked your wealth?
For most people, the honest answer is never — you check your own approach, or your adviser checks their own work. Private Hedge is the independent check: a senior risk manager with 12+ years inside global investment banks, reviewing your whole wealth — investments and property. It starts free, in twenty minutes.
“I take one hundred clients a year — no more. It's the most one senior risk manager can genuinely watch over, the way banks watch their own books. I built Private Hedge so people who earned their wealth get that standard of protection — from someone with nothing to sell them.”
The measures banks apply to their own books
One number, before you decide anything.
Share your portfolio, securely
Everything you'd like looked at — investments and property. Read-only, never touched, never moved.
A senior risk manager runs it
In a 20-minute call you get the one number most investors never see: how far your wealth could actually fall in a bad year, against the loss you'd genuinely accept.
Decide if you want the full picture
No pitch, no obligation. Most people are surprised by the gap — and then it's entirely your call.
Two questions every serious investor
should be able to answer.
I know whether my total wealth — investments and property — is on track for my goals, and whether the approach — mine or my adviser's — is actually getting me there.
I know whether I'm properly rewarded for the risk I take — and how far my wealth could fall if markets turn against me.
If you hesitated on either, you're in good company. Almost no one can answer both with confidence — not because they're careless, but because no one ever gave them a straight read. A senior risk manager can — and the first read is free.

No jargon. No spreadsheets. Two clear questions answered — and a senior risk manager to walk you through them.
Are your returns worth the risk?
We measure your returns against investors in a position like yours — not just the headline index — and tell you plainly: good, or not quite. Then exactly what to look at next:
- Positions that performed poorly when markets fell
- Holdings that may be worth reviewing
- Your weakest positions, ranked
Illustrative. Your dashboard reflects your own holdings.
How far could your wealth fall?
Your downside in a normal market, a stressed one, and a real-world shock — measured against the limits you set. Green, amber, red. Cross a line and you're alerted early, in time to act.
- Your worst case across everything you own — property included
- Stress-tested against real market shocks
- Watched every day — like a risk officer on call
Illustrative. Your dashboard reflects your own holdings.
A measured, personal process.
A free 20-minute assessment
We start with your goals, your horizon, and the loss you'd accept — then a senior risk manager gives you one honest number. No products, no pressure, nothing to sell.
An independent verdict
The Private Review assesses everything you own — investments and property — and tells you whether you're on track and properly rewarded for your risk. DIY or adviser, you get the truth, in writing.
Year-round oversight
When the platform opens, we watch it every day and flag what matters in plain English. Your first year is included with every Private Review — a review is a snapshot; the watching is the point.
Under the hood: the same measures used on institutional books — risk-adjusted performance and benchmark-relative analysis against peers in your position, plus Expected Shortfall at 97.5%, stressed Expected Shortfall, and daily stress tests, monitored against the limits you set. Plain-English on the surface, institutional underneath.
Your money stays exactly where it is.
We're an oversight firm — not a manager, not a broker. We can see your holdings to assess them, but we can never move, trade, or touch them.
Read-only by design
View-only connections, or you simply share your holdings. We never hold custody and can never transact.
One flat fee, no commissions
A fixed fee — never a percentage of your wealth, never a cut of any product. We have nothing to sell.
Private as well as safe
Your information is as private as your money is safe: held securely, never sold or shared for marketing, and deleted on request.
One senior risk manager. No intermediaries.
For over twelve years, I worked inside the risk teams of global investment banks — the people who decide, every day, whether a portfolio is taking on more risk than its returns justify.
I saw the tools the largest institutions use to watch their money. And I saw, again and again, private investors left without any of it — trusting an adviser's word, unsure what they actually own, or quietly accepting weak returns for risk they never agreed to.
It never sat right with me. The people who most needed that protection — the ones whose wealth took a working lifetime to build and cannot be rebuilt — were exactly the ones nobody was watching over. Not because the discipline is complicated, but because no one was paid to give it to them without also selling them something.
So I built Private Hedge to change that: the same standard of risk oversight the institutions keep for themselves, delivered personally, with no stake in who manages your money. That's also why I take only one hundred clients a year — and why every one of them is watched over for a full year, not just seen for a session. We don't replace your financial adviser, and we never touch your assets. The only thing we ever work for is a clear, honest picture of your wealth — because I believe you've earned the right to one.
Twelve-plus years in risk management products at top global investment banks — monitoring and stress-testing portfolios worth hundreds of millions. Now applying that discipline, directly, to private-client portfolios.
The alternatives you already know — and the seat that was empty.
Each of these serves a purpose. None of them is independent oversight — someone on your side of the table, watching everything you own, with nothing to sell you.
| Wealth manager / adviser | DIY & portfolio trackers | Private Hedge | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How they're paid | Typically a % of your wealth, and often by the products they place | Free or cheap — you are the analyst | One flat fee. No percentages, no products, no commissions |
| Whose judgment | Professional — but with something to sell | Yours alone, marking your own homework | A senior risk manager with 12+ years inside global investment banks — independent, with nothing to sell |
| What's covered | Usually the assets they manage | What you connect — data, not judgment | Everything you own — investments and property, as one balance sheet |
| Who's watching | Reviewed when you meet — often yearly | No one. Dashboards don't call you | Watched daily through Guardian, all year — alerts the moment you breach your limits |
| Access | Relationship managers; specialists at £10M+ | — | Direct to the risk manager who runs your review. No intermediaries |
This isn't a criticism of advisers — many clients of the practice keep theirs, and the review often confirms good work. It's a statement of structure: advice, execution, and independent oversight are three different jobs, and until now only the very largest clients got the third.
The practice is built for you if
- You hold roughly £100k–£2.5M across investments and property
- You run it yourself, or pay an adviser, and no one independent has ever checked the whole picture
- You'd rather hear one honest number than a polished story
- You value discretion, direct access, and a fixed fee
It's honestly not for you if
- You want someone to pick investments or manage money — we never will
- You're looking for trading signals, tips, or performance promises
- Your wealth is early in its build — the free assessment is still yours, but a full review may not yet earn its fee
One hundred clients a year. That's the practice.
Direct access to a senior risk manager — the kind usually reserved for very large clients. Each year I take one hundred clients, personally, so every portfolio gets genuine attention. Begin free; join the intake only if you want to.

Consultations provide independent risk analysis and information — not financial advice or a personal recommendation. Cancel up to 48 hours before your session for a full refund, or reschedule at no charge with at least 48 hours' notice; within the final 48 hours, or for a no-show, we may keep a reasonable amount for the time reserved and the preparation already done. Once delivered, the fee isn't refundable. You book at least 5 days ahead, and your completed portfolio template is due at least 2 business days before the session, so your risk manager can prepare. The fee shown at checkout, in your selected currency, is the total you pay — nothing is added at checkout; secure card payment is taken on confirmation. *Complimentary Guardian access has no separate cash value, is personal to you, and is conditional on your review being delivered — if the session is cancelled, refunded, or not attended, it does not vest. It begins when the platform launches. Full details in Section 9 of our Terms of Service.
One hundred clients a year. No more.
That isn't a promotion — it's the arithmetic of doing this properly. One senior risk manager can genuinely watch over one hundred portfolios the way a bank watches its own book; beyond that, attention thins and I won't pretend otherwise. Places are offered first to our network; a limited allocation opens publicly, first come. When the year's intake is full, it's full — the next intake opens in 2027. The 2026 intake is the first.
Then we watch it for you, all year.
Ongoing oversight begins when the platform opens. These plans aren't on sale yet — and every Private Review already includes a full year of Guardian. A review is a snapshot; risk doesn't stand still — so every client is watched through the year.

Asked before you have to ask.
Is this financial advice?
No — and we're deliberate about that. We provide independent risk analysis: how far your wealth could fall, whether you're rewarded for the risk you take, where the blind spots sit. We never recommend buying or selling anything, we never touch your money, and we're not authorised to give regulated advice. You'll have that in writing before your review. The independence is the entire point.
Will you tell me to leave my adviser?
No. We're not a replacement for your adviser — we're the independent check that's been missing. Many clients keep their adviser; the review often confirms good work, and when it surfaces a gap, you decide what to do with it. We have no stake either way — that's what makes the answer worth having.
Why only one hundred clients a year?
Because that's what one senior risk manager can genuinely watch over to an institutional standard. Beyond that, attention thins — and we won't pretend otherwise.
When the year's hundred is taken, the next intake opens in 2027. And if the practice ever grows, it grows the only way it can without breaking its promise: another senior risk manager, personally vetted, with their own hundred. The ratio — one senior risk manager to one hundred clients — never changes.
Is my financial data safe?
Your data is held securely, never sold or shared for marketing, and deleted on request — our Privacy Policy lists the service providers who process it on our behalf. Access to your accounts, where connected, is strictly read-only — we can never move, trade, or touch anything. Your information is as private as your money is safe.
Most of my wealth is in property. Is this still for me?
Especially for you. Most reviews quietly ignore the biggest thing people own. We assess your whole balance sheet — investments, property, cash — as one picture, because that's the only honest way to measure your real downside.
What happens after my year of Guardian?
Entirely your call. There's no card on file for it and no commitment to continue — if the oversight has earned its place, you can stay on a plan; if not, you simply don't. The review and the written assessment are yours to keep either way.
Find out where you really stand.
